If You Think Courage Is Only For 3rd Graders, Think Again

Developing a stronger sense of courage will help you get from where you are to where you want to go.

Courage is so incredibly important because, without it, we’re stuck. Without it, no matter what level of awareness, balance, clarity, focus, etc., we have – it paralyzes us from taking any significant steps forward.

Some of you may be thinking, “Pete, of course, I have courage. What do you think I’m a 3rd grader?”

I’m not suggesting that you don’t. BUT, even the most courageous among us face times in our lives where our fear, anxiety, and uncertainty get the best of us.

Here are a few ideas for how to create greater courage in your life...

  1. Develop a greater awareness of what you fear.

Most of us move away from fear and pain, and consequently, it grows. Simply developing greater awareness of what we fear will help to shrink its power on us. Asking yourself questions will help to unravel what...

Overlook This and It’s Likely You’re Overlooking Life

What is something you may be taking for granted and without it, your life wouldn’t be the same?

For me last year, I felt it was my health. I didn't express gratitude as often as I should have for my health and yet, when I tweaked my back and was immobile for 4 days, the ONLY thing I wanted was to be back at full strength and healthy.

If you think of all the people you know that are struggling with disease, sickness or poor health, they have ONE wish and that is to get healthy again.

I made a vow this year to always express gratitude for my health. If we want more of something, the greatest thing we can do to attract it is to be grateful for what we already have

Each morning I write...

"I am grateful for my incredible health! My spiritual health keeps me alive and inspired.

My physical health keeps me vibrant and strong. My mental health keeps me curious and dynamic. My relational health keeps me supported and motivated. My...

What Are You Reading?

There's little I enjoy more than reading a great book!

(Be on the lookout for a ton of great book suggestions, featuring some of my favorite excerpts)

Fitting the book I reference today is The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. One of the questions I hear a lot is, "How did you get started doing what you're doing?"

If I don't have a ton of time, I simply tell them, "The Compound Effect."

This book will challenge you to be a better person, not by putting forth any sort of extraordinary effort, but instead, just the opposite.

The Compound Effect speaks about the seemingly insignificant choices we make on a day-to-day basis and how those choices end up becoming our lives.

Don't overwhelm yourself. Be conscious of smaller choices that are focused on positive change, and do it with consistency, and you will soon realize the incredible power of the compound effect in your life.

Getting To Your Next Level of Performance May Be Simpler Than You Thought…

A single good habit is typically enough to create a ripple effect in several areas of your life.

By now, most of us have heard the benefit of making your bed first thing in the morning. Not only does it leave an inviting place to lay your head when the day is done, but beginning your day with accomplishment (albeit small) creates a positive psychological effect that ripples into the rest of your day (not too small).

On display: One simple habit creating a very positive impact.

With this knowledge, we’d be foolish not to put it to work for us, right?

Brace yourself: We must be foolish.

Most people ignore this “life hack” and chalk it up as not a big deal in the scope of them achieving their larger goals. They think, “How is doing something as simple as making my bed going to contribute to me hitting my sales goal this month?”

What they’re failing to realize is that this...
